Our 7 Goals
HIPOW - ED’s seven goals work together to build a strong, living educational system for our community. Each goal focuses on a different part of learning—from new ways of teaching and supporting educators, to libraries, technology, apprenticeships, training stations, and professional careers. Together, they honor Indigenous heritage and language while opening clear paths for learners of all ages to grow, lead, and give back.
A new educational system at HIPOW - ED starts with the learner. Every person is unique, with their own strengths, interests, and pace. Instead of forcing everyone into one way of learning, we weave reading, writing, math, culture, and language into what truly matters to them. This creates deeper understanding, stronger skills, and more courage to keep learning for life.
Our educators serve as dedicated mentors who foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that every student receives the guidance and inspiration needed to achieve their full potential within our educational ecosystem.
Our libraries are foundational pillars of HIPOW's educational ecosystem, preserving the intersection of ancestral heritage and contemporary academic excellence. They provide scholars with an extensive collection of curated materials that foster deep intellectual growth and a lifelong connection to cultural wisdom.
Educational Technology at HIPOW - ED goes beyond devices. We use tools, platforms, and creative practices to connect learners and educators, support language and culture, and make learning more flexible and accessible for every age.
Apprenticeships at HIPOW - ED provide scholars with the opportunity to gain professional experience while staying connected to their cultural roots. Through structured mentorship and practical training, we prepare future leaders to excel in their chosen paths and lead with wisdom.
The HIPOW Informative Training Stations (ITS) are centralized hubs designed to bridge the digital divide for indigenous students. These stations provide essential technology, high-speed connectivity, and hands-on vocational mentorship, ensuring every learner has the required tools and guidance to excel in a modern professional environment while remaining deeply rooted in their cultural heritage.
We provide comprehensive support for transitions into high-impact professional roles, ensuring our scholarship recipients are prepared to lead in their respective fields while maintaining strong ties to their communities and heritage.
KeyStone ties all seven goals together. As some scholars say, ‘Learn it, do it, teach it, and pass it forward with wisdom and knowledge.’ KeyStone reminds us that you never stop learning. You can enter at many points—through apprenticeships, professional careers, libraries, or any other path—and keep moving, adjusting, and growing over time.
