Goal 3 - Education: Empowering the People

A good educational system molds to embrace all types of learners for each and every unique person. Teaching is to spread knowledge in a meaningful way towards the 'knowing of things'. This knowing broadens one's mental capacity for each individual's interests. Also, educators that can disseminate knowledge are needed to form new libraries. Educational Technology and Informative Training Stations contributes in spreading knowledge. Other than apprenticeships some people may want to pursue professional careers.

1. A New Educational System

A good educational system focuses on the needs of the student. Every person is unique, as are their interests. Although fundamental studies are needed (Reading, Writing, and Math) they can be incorporated into the interests of the learner. This develops skills and tenacity for both the learner and the educator.

2. Educators

Knowledgeable educators are relevant to the needs of the community. Skill and tradesman & coaching vs. scholarly learning depends on the learner's interests.  Anyone with solid background in a subject area can be an educator. The love of teaching is crucial in conveying confidence and passion for teaching.

3. Libraries

Libraries that work with the community's needs and the educational conveyors is important. Libraries that house the proper literature that embraces the community are needed. Correcting the language barrier in reading and writing for learning is important. Availability of books for all through technology or mobile libraries is necessary.

4. Educational Technology

Technology is not just computers and cell phones. Technology allows communication between learner and educator.  Thus, 'Educational Technology', is used  in educational studies to strengthen learning and improve teaching methods.

5. Apprenticeships

Learning a skill or trade that is needed for the community is important. Apprenticeships positions may also get paid. Learn while you earn. Apprenticeship programs prepare the youth for a career or those who want a change in career.

6. Informative Training Stations (ITS)

There are many different  types of training stations. However, "Informative Training Stations" will offer quick tips on “How To’s” and as learning tools. For example, how to apply for a grant should be easy.  No filling pages of paperwork, peer review, and frivolous explanation of why you need the funds, which is frustrating. The Informative Training Station (Kiosk) can help you as you go step by-step with a positive win-win.

7. Professional Careers

Taking a step in pursuing 'Higher Education' towards a professional career is a lifelong commitment. Taking steps to go outside the community is challenging. Scholastically informed educators in an area of expertise needs to be knowledgeable in diverse strategies in learning.
